Public Meetings and Estate Inspections
Join our regular public meetings and estate inspections to share your opinions and concerns. These are vital platforms for direct communication and collaboration.
Surveys and Consultations
Participate in our improvement and satisfaction surveys and provide feedback on major repair plans, maintenance, and our overall services. Your input is invaluable in enhancing our community living experience.
Community Activities and Information Sharing

Board Membership and Representation
Becoming a board member is an excellent way for you to influence decision-making processes directly.
Expanding Community Involvement:
CRMO is dedicated to involving the whole community in its decision-making processes. We aim to eliminate any barriers that could prevent certain groups from engaging with us.
Utilising Local Venues
Activities and meetings will be held in accessible local venues like the Cowley Community Centre.
Engagement Across Age Groups
Special focus on involving both older and younger residents, ensuring their voices and needs are represented.
Inclusivity of BME and Vulnerable Groups
Active steps to involve residents from BME and other vulnerable groups in community discussions and decision-making.
By creating these tailored opportunities, we acknowledge the diverse nature of our community and strive to provide platforms that cater to everyone.
Opportunities to Get Involved with a Low Level of Commitment
Tenants newsletter
Tenants will receive a copy of our newsletter at least on a quarterly basis. An annual report for shareholders is also produced. If you require the newsletter in other formats such as another language, large print, Braille, or audio, please contact the estate office on 020 7926 0690. Also, if you would like to submit an article to any of our newsletters, please contact the estate office.
Membership to the RMO
Membership to the RMO is open to all estate residents by paying £1.00 into the organisation. The purchase of a share provides a lifetime membership as well as the right to nominate and be nominated to be a Governance Board member. The purchase of a share also provides members with voting rights at general and special meetings.
Estate inspections
Quarterly estate inspections are held with the repairs operations manager, estate director, members of the board and a member of the estate caretaking DLO team. This will be a chance for residents to highlight and monitor the standards of cleaning, grounds maintenance, and communal repairs and to provide their feedback to the RMO. Estate inspection dates will be published in the RMO’s newsletter.
Block champion
Individual tenants and leaseholders can volunteer to become block champions. This would be someone who lives in a particular block or road on the estate and who represents the views of the area. We will consult these individuals about issues that affect this area.
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Held on the last Tuesday of September each year. Attendance is open to shareholders and residents of the estate. Information about the AGM, including annual reports, is sent to all shareholders 14 days prior to the meeting.
Resident Sub-Committees
Become a member of one of our sub-committees. Each committee meets three times a year, and all necessary training is provided. At present, the RMO operates the following sub-committees:
- Finance & Risk
- Human Resources & Employment
- Repairs & Estate Care + Health & Safety
- Governance
- Community Development
The Governance Board
The Governance Board is responsible for the long-term strategic direction of the organisation and for ensuring that the RMO team turns strategies and policies into reality.
Eligibility
Open to all council residents and leaseholders on the estate. No specialist qualification or experience is needed.
Diversity and Inclusion
We welcome residents of all backgrounds and always aim to ensure diverse representation.
Training
Any training required is provided free of charge, equipping you with the necessary skills for effective participation.

Board Meetings
Our board meet once every six weeks, on a Wednesday. Please contact the estate office for dates of future board meetings.
If you wish to attend, you need to send in your request at least seven days in advance of the meeting.
Meetings start at 6.30 pm.
